Quest Events Opens Denver Location Days After Private Equity Sale

Quest Events isn’t wasting time.

Less than a week after ARA’s Rental Management reported that private equity firm Third Space Partners bought the company, Rental Management’s Brock Huffstutler reported a new Quest Events location in Denver. The full story is on ARA’s Rental Management site.

What’s opening in Denver

Quest Events is based in Frisco, Texas. It rents event drape and scenic setups to the professional events world.

The Denver branch will serve event pros, production partners, venues, agencies and corporate clients across Colorado and the wider Rocky Mountain region.

The report lists what the new location carries:

• Event and custom drape
• AV Drop modular backdrop systems
• Modular scenic lines (Style Tyle, FormSet, Geo Series and Moddim)
• Traveler track and Kabuki drops

The article didn’t give an opening date, square footage or staff count.

What the CEO said

Founder and CEO Lee Dunlap called Denver’s events community “incredible and growing.” He said the move is about building new relationships and giving existing partners more support in the region.

Why this matters for rental owners

This is the first visible step since the sale, and it lines up with what the new owner said it wants: more locations and more growth.

If you rent drape, backdrops or staging for weddings, galas or corporate events in Colorado or nearby states, a well funded national player just moved closer. Quest mostly serves hotels, AV companies and planners, so backyard party and bounce house rentals aren’t its game.

The bigger takeaway: private equity money tends to move fast after a deal closes. Watch for more new branches and add-on acquisitions from Quest over the next year, and think about where your own business fits if a buyer like this comes knocking or opens down the road.
