Booqable Adds Bundle Cross-Sells and a Custom Email Sending Address

TL;DR

Booqable now lets you recommend bundles as cross-sells and send customer emails from your own business address instead of Booqable's. Read on for the rest of the late October changes.

If you run your bookings on Booqable, a couple of small updates from late October are worth a look.

Booqable posted the changes in its Oct. 28 What’s New release notes and a follow-up on Oct. 29. Here’s the short version.

Bundles now work in cross-sell

Cross-sell is Booqable’s “you might also like” feature. Bundles are now part of it, and Booqable says it’s available to everyone.

That means you can suggest a bundle on a product page, or suggest add-on items on a bundle page. Think a combo package showing up under a single bounce house, or a generator and tables showing up on a party package.

Your own email address as the sender

Per the Oct. 29 release notes, you can now send emails through Booqable from your own business email address. Customers see your address, not Booqable’s default one.

You’ll find it under Settings > Emails > Sending address. Booqable doesn’t say which plans include it.

Smaller fixes

The Oct. 28 notes also list:

  • The new period picker is now on by default for all accounts. A new option fills in default start and end times once a date is picked, so customers only choose dates. You can still edit times, and you can set it separately for the back office and the online store.
  • More table customization is rolling out. You can rearrange and show or hide columns on orders, customers, inventory and documents.
  • Checkout fixes. Delivery options reload if a customer goes back from payment to the cart. For “Pay later” orders with no payment terms, the success page no longer thanks them for a payment and now shows the order number.

The full lists are on Booqable’s site.

Why this matters for rental owners

Two of these can touch your bottom line. Bundle cross-sells are an easy way to nudge a bigger order without a sales call.

And emails from your own address look more trustworthy to customers, who are less likely to miss a confirmation or ignore an invoice from a name they don’t recognize. If you’re on Booqable, it’s worth ten minutes to set both up before spring bookings pick up.
